"'Cause I'm happy just to dance with you."
Am I sad Chikezie went home? Eh, not too much. *Refer to my earlier post on why I think he shouldn't be the American Idol. I am sad that Ramiele is still on though! America! Come on!
Oh, and "God Bless the USA"? Seriously? Don't ever do something like that again, Kristy Lee...ever. The End.
The song that made me become a David Cook fan:
Well, that was all really. So...
Peace out.
The End.
"How can we hunger and thirst after righteousness if we have ceased hungering and thirsting altogether?"

"I believe the job of a best friend..."
"...is to make you laugh until you hiccup (or wet your pants)."
Ah, so true.
We have pictures! Woot to the woot people. Woot to the woot.
Alright, alright, alright...
Top to bottom, left to right:
The egg condoms! Hahaha! And, yes...I did write the word 'condom' on one of the eggs prior to dipping it in the dye.
Cake, cake, cake...
Well, that's all I'm posting for pictures. Gettin' sleepy.
Peace out.
The End.
P.s., How about Michael Johns and David Cook rockin' out the Idol tonight?! Oh yeah, baby...oh yeah.
Ah, so true.
We have pictures! Woot to the woot people. Woot to the woot.
Alright, alright, alright...
Top to bottom, left to right:
- Bailor. He found the "Golden Egg" that had $10 in it. "Daddy, I want a goose that lays golden eggs. I want it now!"
- Cooper in his "Easter Helmet." Yeah, that's what he called it. Pretty much awesome.
- Brayden and Cora Beth after collecting eggs. These kids are skraight-up hilarious!
- Brayden, Parris and Cora Beth posing for a funny picture. Check out Cora Beth's face. How stinkin' awesome is that? Very.
- Brayden showing me all the eggs he collected. We had a bonding moment over this picture. I'm all kinds of excited.
- Cora Beth finally showing me all the eggs she collected. Again, we had a bonding moment as well over this picture.
- Cooper giving me a Life Saver candy from one of his eggs. All sorts of excited 'cause the boy talked to me and let me take his picture. Selected few are allowed this opportunity. I finally qualified. Yesssss!
- "It wooks wike a hawt." Brayden found a rock that looked like a heart. We took a picture.
The egg condoms! Hahaha! And, yes...I did write the word 'condom' on one of the eggs prior to dipping it in the dye.

"She's gonna make coats out of us."
"We gave her the slip *oomf* didn't we dad?"
I heart 101 Dalmatians. So glad I got it in me Easter Basket. The animated Disney, btw, not the live-action. I just heart it. I've watched it two or three times since yesterday evening...including the bonus features disc. I love it, I love it, I love it!
La ti da...
So, for Easter Sunday we went to my dad's sister's house (the house we normally congregate at on Christmas Day) for dinner. It was good stuff. Mom's and my contribution was making a few desserts. She made banana pudding, I made a cake. Heck to the yes I did! I took pictures of the finished product and had Mom take some of me decorating so that people would believe I actually did decorate the thing. Take that, skeptics. I haven't gotten pictures off of her camera yet, so those shall be posted at a later time. Sorry for anticipation, if any exists...
Moving forwards backwards in time...
So, Saturday we had an Easter Egg Hunt for the children at church and for the children in the community. 50 children showed up!!! How stinkin' cool is that?!? I'll tell you: Very. I took pictures of a few of the kids that I wanted pictures of. Sorry to the rest of you who did not qualify. Those, also, will be posted at a later time along with the pictures of the next event I am about to tell you.
Saturday evening I went over to the Christian house to dye eggs. So...Thomas picked out the kit that comes with those plastic holders to put liquid in to dye the eggs. Well, these things look like condoms. I'm not gonna lie. They do, they really do. Overly eggsagerated, but they do. All-in-all it was good fun. We spent the majority of the time laughing, mostly at Thomas...but that's always eggspected.
Well, gotta get up early in the a.m.
Peace out.
The End.

"And you're still here like a flower in rain,"
"You get knocked down then you rise up again."
Two things...
1. Very much stuck on the song "Flower In Rain" by Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers. If you haven't heard it, do such. (The slow version, not the upbeat)
2. I am still very much convinced that my daughter will look like Boo from Monsters, Inc., minus the whole being a Pixar computer animated generated imaging thingy...
Moving on...
3:16 went really, really well Sunday evening. It was an awesome night of worship! My favorite part of the evening was getting to watch two deaf gentlemen standing with the congregation, worshipping God, signing along to lift their voices of praise...made me smile every time I saw them!
Sunday morning we sang two songs from the musical at Eastside, In Him and Hosanna! (Praise Is Rising). In Him was the song I had the solo to...and I don't remember a time I've ever been that stomach-filled-with-butterflies anxiety before. I don't know why it was that bad, really. I felt slightly ill because of it. Later that afternoon when we got to rehersal prior to the performance the nerves had calmed down and I was fine. All during rehersal, fine. Performance time comes and it's now time for me to do the solo: I don't remember being nervous. It was crazy! Afterwards when we all went to eat, Will asked me if I was nervous and I told him that I hadn't been and that it was really weird because of earlier that day. He told me that Mark (our pastor) had told him -- and I guess a few others -- to pray for me because I'd been so nerve-wracked earlier. Totally worked.
That entire solo was God. I can't explain it any other way. Every note, every word, every etc. about the solo was God.
Flashback...
When we had auditions for solos and praise team I was nervous sitting out in the hallway with all the other auditioners. We could hear people through the door if you stood right next to it. The lady who auditioned right before me (for the same song I did) was really good. There was another lady (who was picked for praise team) who was auditioning for the same song who went after me. I didn't get to hear her that day, but I had heard her the week before in rehersals and she is really, really good. So, later in the afternoon, after auditions are completed, I get a phone call from our choir director telling me that I was chosen, by a unanimous vote among all the directors, to sing the solo for In Him. Completely shocked by hearing this; I mainly auditioned so that I wouldn't kick myself for not at least trying, I hadn't expected to get one. After hearing this I keep asking God, "Why me? Why did you have them choose me when I know of at least two ladies at that audition who could sing it better?" I didn't know why, but I knew there was some reason for it, otherwise it wouldn't have happened.
Back to the present...
After the musical was over and we were talking to each other and leaving the church, a gentleman approached me and asked if I was the girl who sang the solo. I told him I was. He shook my hand and introduced himself as Mychael John Thomas. He then asked me if I had ever done any recording. I told him I was actually in the process of recording a demo. He then hands me a business card and tells me that he is a record producer. (What?!) He tells me to think about it and message him later. I thank him and then he walks off. Not five minutes later he comes back and asks how old I am and then tells me he's looking for an artist and that he's got connections with Nashville and Word Records. (Are you kidding me?!) I thanked him again and that was it.
Moral of the story...
Is this why? Is this the answer to the question I asked God weeks ago when I was told I was to sing this song? I don't know. I would very much like to know, no doubt. So, we all know that prayer works, so my request to any who read this: Please pray for clear direction/guidance/answers about this..., 'cause I sho' 'nuff needs it.
Well, that's about it. I need to get in the bed soon; have to be up really, really early in the a.m.
Peace out!
The End.
P.s., Here's a lil' sumthin' sumthin' from Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers

"It's a big girl world now..."
"...full of big girl things, and every day I wish I was small."
Oh, Kendall Payne, how I heart thoust's music. If you've never heard it, go and listen to her song "Scratch"...amazingly, hauntingly beautiful.
Moving on...
So, (technically) later today we will be performing the music of 3:16 at Cathedral of the Cross here in Birmingham. Nervous? Yes, yes I am...slightly...whenever I think about it. For those who've not heard, our church choir, along with 8 other church choirs are combining to form one ginormous church choir and performing the worship musical 3:16. The musical is based on the book titled 3:16, The Numbers of Hope, by Max Lucado.
Why so nervous? You'll be in a big group singing. Oh! Did I fail to mention I landed one of the songs that is primarily a solo? Yeah, I did. That's where the big nervousness is rooted. Right there... Actually, the major part of the nerves is rooted in the fact that my face is going to be on a big honkin' screen in the worship center while I do this.
I'll be fine once the song starts and I get through the first verse and first chorus.
Anyway. It's really late and I need to go to sleep so that I can wake up on time for church in the morning.
Peace out!
The End.
P.s., It's always Penny & Me tonight...

"This is the dark before the dawn..."
"The storm before the peace."
I have been listening to Britt Nicole all this afternoon. Sooo good. I'm very much stuck on the song "When She Cries". Oh goodness, you can just feel the emotion surging through it. It's tied with "Set the World On Fire" for my favorite song on this album. If you get a chance to listen to it, do such.
That's where my opening quote(s) come from.
Moving on...
So, the Idol Conspiracy has already begun for this year. "What?" You ask. Okay, so remember when Mandisa was voted off a few seasons ago? Yeah, well, she was voted off basically because people misunderstood her and thought she was a homosexual hating Christian. Not what she meant people. She was referring to struggles and addictions, hard times in your life.
People are stupid.
If you watched Idol Tuesday night you would have noticed that the bottom 3 should have been -- based on performances that night -- Syesha Mercado, Ramiele Malubay and Kristy Lee Cook. Syesha wouldn't have been voted off because that one poor performance wouldn't have that big of an effect on her votes. Ramiele was straight-up not good. It was boring and, just, ugh. Not good. Kristy's was a poor decision on her part for trying to twist a Beatles song such as "Eight Day's A Week" into a twangy-country song. Just not smart...
So, who were the bottom three? Syesha, Kristy and David Hernandez. What. The. Crap.?!? Seriously people? David did way better, and has been doing better than Ramiele this entire time, not just that one night!
Who's voted off? David H.
As most Idol fans probably have heard, David H. was, at one point in his past, an exotic dancer. Yeah, it leaked out into the news and stuff over the past two weeks. In my opinion, the only reason he was voted off was because of the dancer thing surfacing. The only reason why so early in the Top 12. If that hadn't had come up he would have more than likely lasted until the top 3-4. He would have been the Elliot Yamin. Seriously. *Would he do as well as Elliot afterwards? No. I'm just saying he would have been that shock vote staying in for so long. He could have outlasted David Cook (The Christ Daughtry) to the top 3.
Am I sad that David H. is gone? Not so much, because I would have wanted him to leave probably next week or so. I'm just a bit irritated that he left before Ramiele. She knows she should have been the one to leave this week; you could see it in her face.
I would have been shocked if Kristy had been voted off this week. She won't leave until the week after Ramiele. I'm gonna confidently say this and stick to this opinion too.
On another note...
I took Becca's recommendation on trying the Fabreze Lavender Vanilla & Comfort scent. Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, it's probably one of the fragrances that fills the air in Heaven. *The other being Fabreze Spring & Renewal; the smell of purple. The Lavender Vanilla is what pink smells like. And after typing that last line and looking at the bottle I just realized that the cap is a pink color. Funny how Fabreze is dead on with designing fragrances that help you smell colors.
Well, that's all for today/tonight/this morning/whenever.
The End.
P.s., Leaving you with Carly Smithson's rendition of The Beatles' "Come Together". She freakin' rocked my face completely off with this! *One of the reasons why I believe she will win this competition.

Ding Dong! The "girl" is GONE!
And yes, I just so totally did.
I'm not gonna lie...so glad that Danny Noriega was voted off Thursday night. So glad that Asia'h Epperson, Kady Malloy and Luke Menard were voted off as well. Next stop: Ramiele Malubay.
Along with the new wallpapers I also made some new ringtones. These include songs by Fair, A Fine Frenzy, Paramore and Hanson... Oh! and also a few sound clips from The Office! Hahaha! These include: Dwight's definition of a hero, Jim saying he misses Dwight and the main theme song to the show. Good stuff.
Well...that's about it. I'm gonna go back to releasing my inner dork and make some more wallpapers and the occasional icon.
Peace out!
The End.

So, I made some new wallpapers for my phone last night... Yes, I am a dork, but hey! it's free this way. Hahaha!

"Agri-tourism is a lot more than a bed-and-breakfast."
"It consists of tourists coming to a farm, showing them around, giving them a bed, giving them breakfast."
So, Joe has hired me on to scrape the floor in the youth room so that it can be painted (it had carpet and they ripped it up and it is down to the sticky stuff that held the carpet down and concrete). So, long story short, and you'll understand why in one second. My arms hurt. No, not sore muscles, but hurt. Like cramp hurt that make you want to cry. It's a burning hurt. It's in my forearms and the underside of my upper arms. And this is after only 3 hours worth of scraping...and I didn't get that much scraped up.
P.s., How about Brooke White's performance tonight with the acoustic Pat Benatar song, "Love Is A Battlefield"... AMAZING!!!
The End.
P.p.s., This isn't the performance from tonight, but this is still a really good performance she did two weeks ago. Enjoy...
The End...for real.

Oh! Jason Castro...how I heart you so.
First off...
Let me just say right here and now I hope Danny Noriega is voted off of Idol this week! I cannot stand him. He irritates the absolute fire out of me. The End.
Second off...
I am an absolute, skraight up Jason Castro fan! I heart his voice, his shyness (oh so adorable), his b-e-a-utiful eyes, his cool hair, his abilities to play more than one instrument, and most of all... He loves him some Jesus! Yes, yes, yes...he wins!
I'm not a too big fan of Chris Rice, but he's got some good stuff...but that's not the moral of my story on this post.
So, Jason totally redeemed himself tonight on Idol. I wasn't too terribly enthused about his performance last week, but he made it to this week with it and proved to America why they made the correct decision of keeping him on. The End.
Third off...
Who else, besides Danny Noriega, would I like to see leave this week? Let's see...
Kady Malloy: Her personality and imitations are the only thing keeping her on.
Asia'h Epperson: Annoying drama queen #1a
Ramiele Malubay: Annoying drama queen #1b
Luke Menard: His hot looks are the only thing keeping him on.
Chikezie: I don't think Idol is his thing. He could totally rock it not on Idol.
David Cook: Has this sense of arrogance that radiates off of him, very unattractive quality (and not meant just as looks unattractive).
*Yes, I realize this is more than will actually be cut, but these are my choices. So, any of these can leave this last week....
Who I would love to see win this thang? David Hernandez
Why? He wants it the most.
No, no... Wrong David. Don't you meant David Archuleta? Nope. He has some growing up to do. He wants it, and you'd think he wants it the most, but he only wants it because it's American Idol. D. Hernandez wants it because it's music and performing and he has something to prove. D. Archuleta has nothing to prover because he knows he can do this. Watch the two closely and you may see what I'm talking about. If not, sorry...can't really explain it very well. The End.
Fourth and final off...
I am watching The Secret of Nimh. Nicodemus was really quite creepy. When I was little he always creeped me out. Still does a bit. Oh, and totally had a cartoon crush on Justin. So wanted him and Ms. Frisby to hook up (still do), even though she was barely a year old widow.
Here's to hoping Danny gets kicked off!
The End.

"Jenna! I weight 101, I've never weighed more than 100lbs.!"
Jenna: "Get out of my house."
Shameless Plug #1
So, if you haven't had the privilege of hearing the band Addison Road, might I suggest you go and do such. Seriously, go on YouTube, MySpace, iTunes, whatever and listen to them. They are really, really good. Oh, and a plus, they got some Jesus lovin' in 'em. Yeah, they do.
The lead singer of the group, Jenny Simmons, has a blogger (which the link can be found in The Geek Wagon and in this post) and I very much suggest reading it too. She's quite the humorous.
The link is: http://jennysimmons.blogspot.com/
Shameless Plug #2
Our church has joined with about eight other churches to do the music of 3:16 -- based on the book 3:16 written by Max Lucado. We will be performing this on 3/16 (which I didn't catch that until this past Sunday...sad, I know.) at Cathedral of the Cross. Free admission for anyone interested in coming. Show starts at 6p.m. that evening. Let me say it is a definite time of worship that anyone should experience. The music definitely is contemporary in the feel (and lyrics) but has traditional roots grounding it -- best form of musical worship, in my opinion.
Anyone reading this and interested in coming, you are more than welcome! Bring your friends and family! Childcare will be provided if you need that option.
Shameless Plug #3
Watch the office. Yes, I do realize this has nothing to do with music. I also realize that this is random, but seriously...watch it. It is crazy funny...
The End.
