"You cannot depend on your eyes..."

"when your imagination is out of focus." -Mark Twain (A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court)

Hello children!

I just added 18, count 'em, 18 (Okay, you can't really count them because you can't visibly see them, so I'm not sure why I said that. It should have been more like, "I repeat". Oh well...) more Baby-Sitter's Club books to my collection/library/whatever. Who's excited? I'm excited. This kid right here.

I will be trying to acquire more within the next day or so.

I place on acquiring more each week.

P.s., I'm ready for Summer nights. Not Olivia Newton John/John Travolta "Those Summer Nights", but Summer nights in general where you hang out with your friends and have fun and chill making memories.

The End.

"A good book is the precious lifeblood of a master spirit,..."

"...embalmed and treasured up on purpose to a life beyond life." - John Milton

Hello children!

So, I've finally taken a few pictures of my Thrift Shop treasures I've been mentioning every now and then... Keyword: finally.

So, I had already owned about five-six of The Baby-Sitter's Club books and started collecting
more of them (mainly the Marry Anne stories) and decided that since these are no longer in print (yes, tis a sad fact kids) I would start collecting the entire series. I'm doing this not just for myself, but also for my future, unborn daughters and nieces. Hahaha! Starting my library, peeps. Yes, yes. I'm not just collecting Baby-Sitter's Club books, but also other books that I think would be a great addition to a library for children. All kinds of pimped-out excitement. Then again, when am I not when it comes to books? Hahaha!

I also have started collecting figurines and frames and stuff that remind me of characters from some of my favorite books, or that simply remind me of my favorite books in general. This little guy is "Pigwidgeon" from the Harry Potter series. I think he's adorable. He's probably 4 inches tall...should have sized him next to something for more of an effect, but I didn't so oh well. I have a few other figurines that didn't come from the Thrift Shop but those pictures aren't being posted at this point in time. This is my postage to Thrift Shop findings. The End.

Another lovely find and addition to my library! The Little Prince! All kinds of definite excitement on this find. Hecks yes!

Anyway. I really should not be awake posting this at this point in the evening. I have to be up early in the morning for work and need to go to bed.

I'm peacin' out homies. More later!

The End.

"'To know what would have happened, child?' said Aslan..."

"'No. Nobody is ever told that.'" (Lewis, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian)

Hello children!

An eighteen-wheeler fell OFF the OVERPASS in front of our church this morning! No lie. NO. LIE. As far as we know the driver is okay, we didn't get to find out too many details. His cab was still up on the bank, or the interstate, but his trailer was not so much. It wasn't hanging off the side, it was more like "parked" on the slant of the hill. I involuntarily started laughing when I saw it. I know, it's horrible, but I did. I didn't know what else to do so I just started laughing...every time I opened my mouth to say something.

So, I've decided -- okay, more like told and finally complied with -- to take a break from my home church. I need a break from a few situations, a few circumstances and a few people. I just feel stressed (way more than you should in a church and also in a church community) and like I can't breathe. So, Im going to go visit at a few churches that some friends are attenders/members of; spend some time with them. I'm excited about this! I wasn't at first but now I am.

Um... what else, what else, what else.... I still owe a more in-depth info blog on Joyful Noise 2009. That'll come later (Yes, it will. No, I haven't forgotten.).

Well, I gotsta go do a lil' bit o' laundry for work tomorrow before I heads to bed.

Peace out, kiddies!

The End.

"What doesn't kill you..."

"...will still just eat you alive."

What's crackalackin' kiddies? Every thing alrighty-ighty? Yes? Yes. Good!

Not too much life updates and interesting anecdotes and whatnots for today's post, just some good ol' giggle worthy randomness. Always good.

Not sure if I mentioned this in the blog-a-roo yet, but I'm going back to Fairmont, NC to play in the Joyful Noise 2009 music festival. All kinds of pimped-out excitement goin' on about this soon to come trip and event. I'll post more details and such later in a big-fat-plug-for-the-festival post.

Um...that's all I can think of. I think this is partially because I'm just really impatient to post these two next things. hahaha! Hey. My blog. My Rules. The End.
