"Be careful of love...."

"It'll twist your brain around and leave you thinking up is down and right is wrong."

Hello children!

I finished painting yesterday! Yay! Rejoicing all around! I've moved all my furniture back in and set in place. I've, for the most part, placed everything back on proper shelves, corners, etc.. I still have a few things that I have to figure out where they will go now. That's always the crap part about doing this sort of thing, yeah.

I'm on this big Greek Mythology kick now thanks to Rick Riordan and his lovely Percy Jackson and The Olympians series. I've read the first three of his five-book series. Sooooo good. If you have young children, these are great read-aloud books. If you have young children who enjoy reading, these are great! Riordan does a brilliant job in writing from the perspective of an adolescent boy. Very humorous and very believable that a 12 year old boy could be telling this story (and onto 13, 14, 15 and 16yrs.). This series is definitely on the top of my recommendation list right now. Even if it's reading for teens (who aren't "too cool" to read this stuff), 20-somethings and so forth.

I'm very much ready for the movie adaptation of The Lightening Thief to come out in February of 2010. Of course I expect to be slightly disappointed, 'cause let's face it, when are you not when a really good book is put to film? Until that time can come I'll just have to settle with reading the series, picking up some ol' Edith Hamilton and watching Disney's animated Hercules (which I'm watching now). hahaha! (Side note: For those of you who have stumbled upon this and are thinking, "Wow. She's a dork." I say, "Welcome to the group. We've already established this.")

P.s., I really, really am loving my freshly painted room. And, no, for some of you, not just because of the lingering fumes from the paint, but the colors. Ahhh... It's slightly odd. I'm still getting used to it not being blue. It's been blue for the past 6-7 years and is now a caramel/coffee and an olive green color. It matches my nephew's nursery, which was totally NOT planned at all. Hahaha! My room is slightly darker-shaded than his. I'm working on "before" and "after" pictures to post, so, those will be up soon.

Okay. I'm peacin' out to try to find more new homes for some of my stuff. Word to your mother(s).

The End.
